If you own or lease a plug-in an Electric Vehicle (PEV), you can save on your electric bill while you sleep with the EV Night Charging Discount (PEV Rate Rider) from Alabama Power. Charging your electric vehicle with your home charger at a discounted rate during the off-peak hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. is good for your wallet and our power grid as it reduces the load during peak hours. To qualify, you must own or lease a PEV manufactured primarily for use on public roadways.
EV Home Charger Rebate

Alabama Power customers can receive a one-time $500 rebate for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 (240V) charger with our Home Charger Rebate. EV home charging provides an affordable and convenient way to charge your vehicle. Adding a Level 2 charger allows you to charge up to 10 times faster than with a Level 1 (120V) charger.
